What owners say
"Rust cut out around windscreen, bonnet, gutters and roof. Finished off with a cut and polish. Very professional. Roger sent update photos each week of the work being done."
"I drove from Coffin Bay to drop my vehicle off, later that day they had already started working on my car… Over the 3 week duration Roger kept me updated with photos and clear communication of cost and progress."
"Roger and his team have done two major restorations on my pride and joy… quality work done and completed in the expected time frame."
"We recently had our business van resprayed as part of a colour change… The job was completed within the agreed timeframe and the finish exceeded our expectations."
"I'm picky with where I go for repairs on my Kombi, and Roger simply does the best paint and panel work. The finish he did on my front end had people making comments for months afterwards."
"I chose him to do rust restoration and respray on my project car. He has fantastic communication, flexibility, especially with the rarity of parts available for my particular vehicle… ABOVE ALL, the quality of work, which was OUTSTANDING… I would take another project to Roger and his team at Prodigy ANYTIME."
"Roger was super easy to deal with. I received plenty of photos of my Patrol showing the progress throughout the time that he had it. I highly recommend Prodigy Panel."
"Roger did such a great job with my landcruiser and the paint work was fantastic! So happy with the outcome and price!"
"They replied in a good timely manner with an invite to come down and talk about my problem with my vehicle in detail."
"Highly recommend for anyone looking to do a resto on their pride and joy."
Prodigy Panel works from a modern workshop on a 10-acre property at Aldinga Beach, south of Adelaide. The team is deliberately small, so the person who quotes your job is the person managing it, and the person sending you photos as the rust comes out and the new steel goes in.
We do the metalwork, panel and paint ourselves, with spot welders, pulling racks, shrinkers and stretchers, and a Monarch downdraft heated booth. For a full restoration we organise the rest through trusted local sandblasters, mechanics, trimmers and auto electricians, so you deal with one workshop instead of five.

Drive-in, drive-out
Skip juggling a sandblaster, painter, mechanic and trimmer. Roger coordinates it all: we do the rust, panel and paint, and line up trusted local specialists for the rest. One point of contact, regular photos throughout.
What we do
Corroded metal cut out and replaced with new steel shaped to factory contours, then sealed, primed and protected.
Full rotisserie builds or staged, budget-led restorations, with specialists and rare parts coordinated for you.
Factory colours or a new look, painted with De Beer paint in our Monarch downdraft heated booth.
Dents, creases and structural repairs on pulling racks, colour-matched and blended in.
Stone chips, scratches and faded panels repaired, plus cut-and-polish correction.
Tanks, fairings, guards and loose panels painted in the booth, and body kits fitted to match.
We're at 36 Button Rd, Aldinga Beach, at the rear of the property, about 45 minutes south of the Adelaide CBD. Customers bring cars from across Adelaide, the Fleurieu Peninsula and regional SA. You're welcome to tour the workshop before deciding; just call ahead so Roger can give the car a proper look.

Honestly, it's hard to know until the metal is opened up. Rust is almost always worse underneath than it looks from the outside, so a fixed price on rust work would either be padded or wrong. That's why rust and restoration work is charged at an hourly rate. We'll give you a ballpark from photos, an accurate estimate after inspecting the car, and regular updates on cost as the job goes. If we find more rust than expected, we stop and talk to you before doing anything extra. Respray and panel jobs are quoted after inspection.
It depends on the car and the parts. Small dents can take a few days. Smaller rust repairs can take a few days to a few weeks, while extensive rust on an older car can take months. A full respray usually takes a few weeks to a few months depending on prep. A complete restoration can run from a few months to a year or more. Major restorations are booked into the schedule, so it's worth getting in touch early. We'll give you a projected start date after the assessment.
We can organise towing to the workshop or point you to a reliable local operator. If you'd rather we see it first, Roger can arrange an after-hours visit to look at the car where it is.
Yes. You'll get regular progress photos as each stage is done (rust cut out, new steel in, primer, paint) along with updates on time and cost. Plenty of our customers live a long way from Aldinga Beach and follow their build entirely through those photos.
No. Classics, muscle cars and 4WDs are what we love, but we work on everything: LandCruisers and Troop Carriers, Kombis and campervans, business vans, everyday sedans and motorbike parts.
Absolutely. Many owners start with what matters most, usually the rust and the body, then do paint, mechanical or trim later. We'll help you work out a sensible order so nothing has to be redone. On larger jobs we can set up staged payments in line with project milestones.
Yes. We carry all relevant insurances and take every precaution with high-value and rare vehicles. Warranties vary by the type of work, and we explain exactly what's covered before the job starts. This is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
